In 2014 Michele and Duane “Doo” Maidens built On The Fly Ranch. Michele designed it, and Doo wrote the checks.

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Doo worked in design and branding and Michele sold real estate, but they longed for a simpler life. Bozeman fits the bill on all levels.

You’ll see them every day on the Ranch. When Doo isn’t fishing he’s tending to the grounds. Michele works with her two horses and makes sure guests have everything they need.

Michele says, “We love sharing our dream. Families have come from all over the country, many returning multiple times. We’ve had weddings, reunions, and long and short stays. And our German Shorthaired Pointers and Labradoodle (Buckwheat, Billy, and Gus) will welcome you as their new best friend.”
